Um, we have one in my engineering building on campus. In fact I printed out a pulley today for a lab assignment with 3D printer. Its been there since I was a freshman.

Open source 3d fabricator/3d printer Fab@Home ( fabathome.org)They were the first. You can build one at home by ordering parts or if you already have one, build another unit from it
