iPod Magnet Case Shows How You Sell Products
The iStik is a $27 iPod case that has neodymium magnets on its two parts so you can stick it to your bikini or running shorts (one magnetic piece goes on the inside, case goes on the outside). Pretty clever. And also, based purely on the above imagery, I just bought a dozen –and I don’t even own an iPod! Now that’s how you sell products.

What the… when I first looked at that only two images appeared. The second image I was referring to is now the third image.

Apple iPods and zombies definately go well together.

Neodymium magnets + hard drive? I dunno man, doesn’t sound good…
10.24.2008
You mean the hard drive that the iPod Nano does not have?
10.24.2008
I mean the hard drive iPods that stupid people are bound to “try using” the magnets with. iPods are near to other iPods. This accessory has a powerful magnet. Throw it in a bag with older iPods…..Yes, I know I was dugg down because everyone thought like you. It’s ok. I’m just more intelligent than all you *****.
10.24.2008
You’re being dugg down for your last sentence you douche. It takes a much stronger artificial magnet to corrupt a hd. Also the iStick is only available for nano as far as I can tell. ( macworld.com/article/135152/2008/08/ist … And why would a person have 2 iPods??
10.24.2008
This is like one of those pictures – “Do you see the ipod yet?”
10.24.2008
what ipod?
10.24.2008
magnets + ipod = no,no
10.24.2008
What a bunch of dorks.
10.24.2008
Niiiiiiiiice!

About magnets not being able to wipe data from a regular hard drive: A friend of mine tried it with the magnet in the link below and a full size desktop hard drive. Unrecoverable data loss. magnetportal.de/scheiben/max60/1051.php
10.24.2008
I’m pretty sure that only applies to conventional hard drives where magnetism is a factor, not solid state drives. This could however blank credit cards, IDs.. etc.
10.24.2008
That’s a massive magnet – of course it wiped it.

Is this based on an actual warning sign? magnetportal.de/images/s2dlogo.jpgIf so, that’s pretty awesome.
10.24.2008
motivschmiede.net/assets/images/Tenerif …It’s based on an actual warning sign as they are commonly found on roads in Germany. The magnet and the hand are “fake”. However, there are pictures on that site of actual damage magnets have done to hands when two of such things snapped together… flesh wounds and broken bones.
10.24.2008
Actually, there are very powerful magnets you can buy that WILL crush your hands if you happen to be dumb enough to put them close enough together while your hands are in the way. They will crush your fingers like they were jello (scroll to the super magnets): unitednuclear.com/magnets.htm

What a god awful idea. Neodymium magnets blanked my credit, debit and security access cards through a heavy wallet and shopping bag. People are gonna use this near their pockets and have similar experiences. I hope the manufacturers have good lawyers.
10.24.2008
I’d touch that.
10.24.2008
I have an ipod touch 2g and I just restarted it with this magnet ( kjmagnetics.com/proddetail.asp?prod=DX82 ), not really sure I’m ever going to try to use magnets to attach my ipod to anything

dugg for the .7 Waist-to-hip ratio (WHR), sad I know the mathmatician in me sometimes takes over from mypeins.
10.24.2008
Dugg for both example pictures.
10.24.2008
I wonder how long before Apple blasts them witn an iLawsuit for using the letter of the alphabet they own now.
10.24.2008
if you’re taking your ipod swimming, you’ve got bigger problems than magnets….
10.24.2008
Great for my shiny metal ass. Oh and bite it. /bender
10.24.2008
I’m going to love jogging with my iphone, then seeing it smash on the pavement
10.24.2008
obviously marketed to lowlifes who cannot read and mod it for a normal ipod
10.24.2008
SOLD!!!!
10.24.2008
wait wait wait.What ipod?
10.24.2008
Sooo easy to steal.
10.24.2008
I would probably notice if my music just stopped playing, but that’s just me.
10.24.2008
If I was on the bus, I probably wouldn’t notice for several seconds or so,just enough time for the thief to run off the bus.
10.24.2008
Hmmm, normally you shouldn’t bring a magnet anywhere near a flash or hard drive based memory storage device.
10.24.2008
So, we see, children, that people dumb enough to buy Apple iPods are afraid of magnets.
10.24.2008
Umm…name tag magnets people! Ok, so you put an ipod case instead of a name tag…how is this so impressive and ‘dugg’ so much? Old technology (actually, not even technology. Just plain old physics.) Plus, the one on the right better be waterproof if you’re going to the beach, lady!Ok ok…count my vote in for the one on the left!!! yumm
10.24.2008
Mmmmm……. Bum
10.24.2008
Bastards stole my idea.
