I just bought a q9550 with 8gb of ram and a 4870. Overclocked to 3.8 on air stable. The i7 920 looks to overclock to 3.8 as well, at 20% faster times in 3ds and rhino. $320 gets you a beast of a processor, well worth it.

Never mind, found the benchmarks and I’m impressed through and through: mos.techradar.com/techradar-corei7-benchmar …The Core i7 performs twice as fast the Phenom, so it’s i7 for me.

We hit Microcenter in Denver at 10am in the 16th per the advertisement. Then had to wait 2 hours till noon for some reason. Finally hooked up with two of the 920 and 16 gig of ram (two machines being built). Bleeding edge yea, but someone has to SAVE THIS ECONOMY!
