There are indeed a number of apps available that could transform a user’s iPhone into a universal remote, but for those who need a total wire-free solution, the Griffin’s Beacon is now available as an alternative.
The application was unveiled earlier this year at the CES held in Las Vegas, and was capable of taking an iPhone or iPad’s Bluetooth signal and converts it to IR, which will then send commands to a users’ A/V gear.
Testing the app at the CES showed its simplicity and accuracy, which we were sure would make this a must-have gadget for all iOS users.
If you want to change the way you have been flipping through your TV channels, you can get your device at $80 from the App Store or Griffin’s website today.
