New iTunes Leak Suggests “Automatic Download” Over-the-Air Updates in iOS 5

Leading up to Apple’s appearance at this years’ WWDC, a number of things have already been confirmed as to what users can expect from Apple. These include the company to unveil OS X Lion, its new iCloud music service and iOS 5.

A new leak on iTunes suggests that we can now also expect automatic, over-the-air app updates in iOS 5.

This became apparent when users found a page on iTunes, which alludes to an ‘Automatic Download’ feature that allows for wireless syncing. It clearly made mention of: “.. if your device has Automatic Download enabled for apps”. This is an indication that users can expect to have their apps updated automatically over the air, soon.

Since MacRumors have posted the screenshot, the company has pulled the page. We do, however, look forward to an official announcement from Apple at the WWDC tomorrow.
