To the delight of many United States HP fans, it would appear as if the Technology giant is getting into the prepaid data game. The company recently announced DataPass, a solution which allow users to purchase 3G services from their laptops.
The new service is HP-branded, although the company bought excess spectrum from Sprint. The company will be setting its own prices, effectively turning themselves into an MVNO.
The no-contract data plans will start at $5 for 75MB, and stretch to $30 for 1GB.
This new service can be found in the company’s lineup of business notebooks with the Qualcomm Gobi un2400 radio module.
