So far, we aren’t even sure what name HTC’s next flagship has been given, and although many have referred to it as the HTC M8, it’s unlikely that this will be the devices name, especially considering the HTC One was originally referred to as the M7, but was released under a different name.
The name HTC One 2 has been kicked about a lot, but it doesn’t exactly roll off of the tongue very smoothly. The HTC Two may be more suiting, but we won’t have any idea until the reveal event on March 25th.
As far as knowledge on hardware specifications go, we are pretty sorted. Pretty much every rumor we’ve heard so far has suggested that HTC’s next flagship will come packed with a Snapdragon 800 SoC, and the general consensus is that the device will come with a 5 inch 1080 x 1920 display, instead of a quad HD panel, like many other flagships this year have been rumored to sport.
Personally, I’m not too bothered about the display resolution as 1080P is certainly enough for me, and I’m more concerned about the battery life, and the software that HTC decide to put on their next flagship device.
Unfortunately, these are two details we do not have the answers for, so we’ll have to wait till March 25th like everybody else to find out a little more about HTC’s next flagship smartphone.
