The Trump Hotel Collection announced on February 9, 2011 they have chosen the information technology solutions company MICROS to provide their hotel property management system and enterprise software. MICROS Opera Enterprise Solution (OES) enables hotel operators to transmit and share data across multiple applications and properties. OES is a suite of enterprise software solutions that consist of various modules. The Trump Hotel Collection announced they will replace their legacy property management system (PMS) with MICROS OES.
The Trump Hotel Collection will use the system first in their Chicago property The Trump International Hotel and Tower Chicago. They will then replace their PMS systems with MICROS Opera at the following locations: Central Park West, Soho, Las Vegas and Waikiki. The systems will then be added to properties in Panama and Toronto.
Vice President of MICROS Hotel Division Karen O’Neil released a statement regarding the decision, “We are thrilled to be selected as the exclusive technology provider for Trump Hotel Collection. We are excited to provide a technology platform on which the Trump Hotel Collection can thrive and grow globally, and we look forward to a long and successful partnership.”
The Trump Hotel Collection is owned by Donald Trump and his children, Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric. MICROS Opera will be used to handle the daily tasks provided by the hotel including reservations, room assignments, check outs, inventories, room rotations, accounting and billing tasks, and needs of guests.
Corporate Director of Finance for the Trump Hotel Collection Mike Straube released a statement as well, “MICROS is aligned with our goals and provides us the tools to support our strategy to become globalized. MICROS’s OPERA Enterprise Solution offers us the ability to share information across multiple applications and properties on one single database to provide an unparalleled free flow of information.”
