T-Mobile announced two new plans

T-Mobile announced two new plans that offer unlimited services for two low prices $59.99 and $79.99. the first plan, the Even More Plus for $59.99, requires no yearly contract and enables users to call nationwide, unlimited on T-Mobile’s 4G network. The announcement comes as regulators review the proposed buyout of T-Mobile USA by AT&T. The second plan is the Even More Plan with a two-year contract and is available for $79.99 per month.

Though the packages are called “unlimited” it’s important to realize that data transfers are not unlimited and those who use more than 2GB per month will be placed on a slower data service until the next billing cycle begins. The customer won’t, however, be charged overage fees.

Senior Vice President of T-Mobile USA John Clelland released a statement regarding the new plans, “Consumers today are looking for even more value and flexibility from their wireless plans. While data plans for many of our competitors continue to be very expensive, T-Mobile is lowering the price of our unlimited plans and offering more options, making it easier than ever for customers to step up to a richer mobile data experience on our 4G network.”

T-Mobile USA announced they believe the new plans will save customers up to $350.00 per year and likened their new plans to AT&T, Verizon and Sprint. The announcement also stated that T-Mobile will continue to offer their 200 MB entry level monthly data plan for $10.00. T-Mobile states that the plan helps customers avoid surprise bills as they receive SMS alerts when they near their limit. The plans are available in stores now.
