Sony Announce VAIO SA Series Ultraportable Laptops

Sony has unveiled its new SA series laptops, a 13.3-inch ultraportable device that is intended to take on the thin Lenovo ThinPad X1.

The new device comes in at a mere 0.95 inches thick and come standard with AMD Radeon HD 6630 graphics and 1GB of video memory. It boasts with a 1600 x 900 screen resolution, a 500GB hard drive, fingerprint reader and a Blu-Ray drive. The device will be available in Black, Silver and Brown.

The SA series start at a price of $1,375, which may be a bit hefty for some buyers. If that is the case, you may be interested in looking at the SB series, which start at a $999 price tag and come with 512MB of video memory, 1366 x 768 resolution, a DVD player and a Core i5 processor.
