IRX Innovations has been quiet for some time, but now they are back with a new video released on the Internet, which clearly shows that the company has not given up on its e-Reader dreams.

The new video shows the outfit squeezing a modest 6 FPS out of an AUO Sipix e-paper panel. Playback is a bit choppy, but according to IRX engineers the company is capable of an additional 10 FPS from the device by running content through a memory buffer.

This is not quite on the same level as Mirasol’s 1080p displays, but it would be great if the company could keep prices low for consumers.
