We know that for some time, governments have added all sorts of information to the back of currency, and now the Dutch government will add a QR code in celebration to its Mints’ centennial anniversary.
Users will find the QR codes on the new silver €5 and a gold €10 coin.
The QR codes will apparently take users to the Mint’s website, which promises a ‘surprise’, once the money is released later this month.
So, have your smartphones and their QR readers ready!
