Nauticam just announced release of its latest in line of innovative housing technology products NA-70D – the underwater housing for Canon EOS 70D.

Only three weeks ago we wrote about rugged aluminium housing for new Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-RX100 II digital camera owners, which provides unbeatable performance for underwater photographers, and this time Nauticam brings the power to the Canon EOS 70D owners.

With multiple important and patented housing features like “Locking Latch System”, used to close and securely lock the housing, Nauticam brings its previous engineering breakthroughs to the standard with NA-70D.

The next exciting feature of the NA-70D is an integrated electronic vacuum and leak detection system, where photographer may instantly see the vacuum/watertight status of the housing.

The new housing has a 100M depth rating, weighs 3,17kg, and has the following dimensions: 348mm x 185mm x 135mm (with handles mounted).

The main key features of NA-70D are:

-Rubberized handle grips Comfortable and placed for optimum access to controls
-Lens release button: Easy changeout of lenses without removing camera from housing
-Drop in camera tray: No need to preset controls, just drop in and it is ready to go
-Fiber optic ports: Optical TTL with Inon and Sea&Sea strobes
-3 Bulkhead ports: For optional HDMI or sync cable bulkheads
-Viewfinder, 0.66x: Enhanced 180o and 45o viewfinders optional
-Laser cut stainless steel handle brackets: For extra stability when using heavy lighting. Now even lighter weight!
-Light mounting balls: 2 handle mounted balls standard, mounting balls for housing optional
-Tripod mounting points: Important for macro video shooters
-Control labeling: Easy to find and understand control functions
