Hugh Hefner, well-known owner and founder of Playboy Magazine made use of Twitter in announcing his engagement with his girlfriend, Crystal Harris.
Hefner entered into an engagement with 24-year old Harris on Friday, and he said that this would be his happiest Christmas weekend in memory. According to a post on Twitter, Hefner said that Crystal burst into tears when he gave her the ring.

Hefner founded Playboy Magazine back in 1953. He was already married twice to Mildred Williams and Kimberley Conrad, which ended in divorces in 1959 an earlier in 2010 respectively.

In 1953 Hefner put together the first issue of Playboy Magazine with a cover featuring a calendar photo of Marilyn Monroe on the kitchen table in his flat. In December the magazine sold 51,000 copies, which was sufficient to finance the second issue, which eventually led to his multimillion dollar corporation.

Hefner has never lost touch with his clients, and still makes use of technology in promoting himself and his magazine on media such as the Internet and television.
