All eyes or on the ICS-based Cyanogenmod 9. If you’re a custom ROM addict, you’ve probably flashed it once, twice, or maybe more than you imagined on a compatible device. If you want to give your phone a break from the so-far-stable-but-still-buggy CM9, you can give the team’s latest custom ROM a try. Yesterday, the team announced the availability of a Cyanogenmod 7.2 release candidate which brings many updates to CM 7.1.

CM 7.2 RC1 is not a stable release but a candidate for the stable release. Its “release candidate” status suggests that most of its bugs have been ironed out and not as buggy as nightly builds. Cyanogenmod claims it’s “more than ready for everybody to enjoy.” Based on Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread, it’s compatible to 71 devices in total – 20 of them are new. It’s also worth mentioning that CM 7.2 is packed with numerous bug fixes, improvements, and new features including ICS transitions.
