It seems that more Canon EOS camera announcements are on the way this year. According to folks from DPreview forum, the new version of Canon DPP contains EOS M2 name, which means that a launch of the alleged Canon EOS M2 is probably coming soon, may be even this year. And of course (most likely) it will be more higher-end mirrorless EOS camera from Canon with more features etc.

This function is compatible only with RAW images shot with EOS-1D X, EOS-1D C, EOS-1D Mark IV, EOS 5D Mark III, EOS 5D Mark II, EOS 6D, EOS 7D, EOS 70D, EOS 60D, EOS 50D, EOS REBEL T5i/700D, EOS REBEL SL1/100D, EOS REBEL T4i/650D, EOS REBEL T3i/600D, EOS REBEL T2i/550D, EOS REBEL T1i/500D, EOS REBEL T3/1100D, EOS M2 and EOS M.
For those who are not familiar with Canon digital software terminology, the DPP stands for “Digital Photo Professional” software, which is a high-speed RAW image processing program designed to facilitate the digital imaging workflow. The common RAW image editing options are:
- Exposure compensation
- White balance, color and dynamic-range adjustments
- Fine-tuning of tone curve characteristics
- Picture Style image processing options
