If you’ve been holding out for the white version of Motorola RAZR, we thought you should know that it’s now available via Clove UK. Motorola Droid RAZR, a Verizon variant, has been available in the US since December 2011. News of its international version arriving in UK remained evasive weeks, though, it had been available for preorder in Clove and Unlocked Mobiles long enough. First we thought it would arrive by February 22 but then shipment date was moved to March 1. But it’s not until today we saw the white Motorola RAZR finally hitting the shelves.
Those who pre-ordered the white Motorola RAZR are getting their phones today but the phone remains available for online orders via Clove’s official website. The phone costs ₤382.80 with VAT, SIM-free and unlocked. Clove is also offering free foldable speakers with a ₤20 value to customers who are grabbing the phone.
Motorola RAZR is a revival of Motorola’s successful RAZR line except that it runs on Android now. It still follows the path of RAZR feature phones in terms of design – slim, sleek, and classy. Also worth noting is the fact that it’s made of three materials – Kevlar, steel, and aluminum; which although heavy made it visually appealing. Strong points of the phone include a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display, 1GB RAM, a 1.2GHZ dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor, 8-megapixel camera for capturing HD photos and videos, and an HDMI connector for porting videos to compatible HDMI devices. Spec wise, it is an equal to Samsung Galaxy S2 – heavier and slightly thicker but with different features. While we could call it outdated for a 2012 release, the phone can still compete as a cheaper alternative to this year’s quad-core releases.
A month ago, we compared Motorola Droid RAZR versus Motorola Droid Maxx and found the latter to be better contender. Both models are limited to Verizon customers and have 4G LTE radios, unlike Motorola RAZR which is a GSM-only model.
