It has been confirmed that Yahoo! has rolled out a new Messenger app for iOS devices that includes support for the iPad 2. The new tablet-optimized application will allow users to make video and voice calls using the front-facing camera on the device.
Users will be in a position to make video calls to any device with a camera and a compatible version of the application. Users will also be in a position to send SMS messages free.
The SMS messages will come from a users’ Yahoo! account and not their mobile phone number.
